Site of high camp by lake just south of Gloriana Peak
Stu circles the lake to ascend the south face of Gloriana Peak
Ali resting on the screes
We descended by sidling across the north side of Gloriana
Stu getting into scramble terrain, with tiny remnant of glacier ice in background
The screes were quite stable at these angles due to the angular rocks
A buttress of good, whitish greywacke on the north face of Gloriana Peak
Spenser mountains alpine rock
We didn't take crampons for this Easter trip, so had to cut a few steps across this snow patch.
A nice camp we established at 1750m on a shelf above Camera Gully
Descending back to the high camp
Descending into Camera Gully
Back to straightforward river travel!
Some terrain we avoided in Camera Gully
